Sylvan Resources has indirectly received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, via an Open Call issued and executed under project PARSEC (grant agreement No 824478).

The PARSEC Accelerator

PARSEC is a business accelerator supporting the creation of new Earth Observation (EO) based products and services. The accelerator targets SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs and researchers who want to have an impact on the emerging Food, Energy and Environment sectors. With the support of PARSEC, their ideas will be developed into solutions fuelled by the benefits of EO.

The PARSEC Accelerator is funded by the “Horizon 2020” Research and Innovation programme of the European Union.

Our Project

Working together with colleagues in Lithuania, we used satellite imagery to  identify different tree species and potential sites for afforestation. Our work on this project has led to further development and improvements to our existing mapping systems.
