The Sylva Internship 2023

In 2022, we created the Sylva Internship and Megan Davies, an MSc Environmental Studies student from Bangor University was our first Sylva Intern! Megan described her experience as “absolutely wonderful… I couldn’t have been better supported and motivated by you both”. Here is what she had to say about her experience:

‘Sylvan Resources provides a wonderful working environment where their core values of integrity and ethical responsibility truly do shine through. My internship within the company provided me with a concrete base knowledge of businesses within the forestry sector and allowed me to develop skills necessary for my future. This could not have happened without the great network of mentorship and guidance given by Sylvan Resources. Working with Sylvan Resources allowed me to improve my confidence, networking skills and writing quality. A wonderful company with a definite focus on sustainability and our future.’

We thought that Megan was an excellent intern – very enthusiastic, quick, hard-working and a great problem solver! She has continued to do some occasional work for us through her university studies.
